Many local authorities have adopted the Code for Sustainable Homes and require all new houses
in their areas to comply with levels 2, 3 and soon 4. This involves a formal assessment by an Approved Assessor. WCK can provide this service, we are Approved Assessors
registered with STROMA. Our approach is to work with the design team and to offer guidance as to the best way of meeting the standards.
We can offer this as a stand-alone service if other architectural practices have carried out the design.
We can also provide energy assessments on new houses and conversions leading to the issue of the EPC (Energy Performance Certificates). We provide a speedy and competitively priced service for one-off houses, barn conversions and housing developments. Once again our approach is to work with the design team and to offer suggestions and guidance where this is requested. We can also provide calculations to justify situations where large areas of glazing have been used which fall outside the standard provisions of the Approved Document.
